DYNAMIC DUO NERVO TO DJ ON THE X FACTOR!

What haven't these girls conquered yet in their life?  They've been fashion models, smokeshows, DJ's, and you mean to tell me they haven't been on X FACTOR?!?! WTF! just playin.

However the duo will be djing the episode of x factor tonite!

As hit songwriters, producers, and artists, Mim and Liv Nervo are quickly making a big name for themselves in the club scene around the world with their delicious blend of pop and electro-dance sound.

Oh, and did we mention they’re also models? They got their start modeling in Melbourne Australia, where they’re originally from, and were also Ambassadors to the L’Oreal Fashion Festival. What haven’t these girls done? Slackers, they are not! They’re sexy, they’re sassy, and they’re DJ’ing on THE X FACTOR stage tonight to the tunes of the Top 5!

For those of you not in the know, the sister tag-team that is NERVO has written hits for artists such as Ke$ha, Kylie Minogue, the Pussycat Dolls, and Jennifer Hudson. They also wrote the new single for our very own Nicole Scherzinger, titled “Try With Me,” due for release in the new year.

They’ve collaborated with David Guetta on his Grammy winning smash hit "When Love Takes Over" featuring Kelly Rowland, which charted at No. 1 in 11 countries across the globe. They also co-wrote a song with Guetta called "Night Of Your Life" featuring Jennifer Hudson. As DJs, they’ve toured with Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj on the Femme Fatale arena shows, and toured with Paul Oakenfold and Chuckie on the acclaimed 2010 Facelift tour!

On Sep. 6, they released their first single "We’re All No One" featuring Afrojack and Steve Aoki. This is NERVO’s first commercial release in which the sisters perform the vocals. The song also marks their departure from their underground dance floor sound into what they believe is the future of pop and electro-dance. We can’t wait to see them perform on stage!

Inside Ibiza with Roger Sanchez: Episode 2

(stealth-records)Episode 2 has arrived of this 5 part series, which show the behind the scenes of Roger Sanchez‘s  past summer in Ibiza. Throughout this series, director Terry Church takes you behind the scenes of Roger’s DJ life and his relationship with the White Isle.  From Roger’s residency at the island’s superclub Space, to events for his record label Stealth, his studio sessions, and the characters around him, Inside Ibiza is a documentary that aims to get to the heart of DJ culture and Ibiza.

Director’s Notes: Episode 2

With the first episode of Inside Ibiza having been quite frenetic, I began Episode 2 of Roger Sanchez’ documentary at a more relaxed pace.

Beginning with some daylight scenes at Roger’s Ibiza villa, we get a chance to see where and how the DJ lives on the island, and also learn more about the man himself.

We were slightly restricted in what we could film at Roger’s villa as a lot of burglary happens in Ibiza, and Roger didn’t want to take the risk of having his home’s location identified on film. Believe it or not, criminal gangs regularly target Ibiza villas belonging to DJs as there is usually little security, they are not always occupied, and there is generally quite a lot of expensive studio kit to steal. So we couldn’t show the view or the facade of the house, but we did get the tour inside, and got to hang out by the pool.

Topics of conversation in this episode include art (Roger studied art and architecture in college), design, Roger’s record label Stealth, and his family. How Roger’s family deals with his constant touring was particularly interesting. A lot of the time people think of DJing as glamourous jet-setting but there is a flip side – you don’t get to spend enough quality time with your family/loved ones.

The episode then moves into a beach party scene hosted by Roger’s Stealth Records at La Plage, which is one of Ibiza’s best beach bars. Label DJs Jesse Voorn and Muzzaik all make appearances. There were some fantastically dressed dancers at the event, so I “borrowed” a couple of them to film an impromptu music video on the beach (this is usually the part where people make a sarcastic comment about me having the crappiest job in the world). Considering it was done on the fly, I thought it worked out really well.

The episode ends with quite a heart warming tale, in the form of Tara, one of Roger’s biggest fans. Quite unusually, despite Tara having been a fan of Roger Sanchez for over a decade she had never actually met him, so we introduced her to him for the first time. The only track that I ever considered for this scene was ‘Another Chance’, Roger’s most emotive record, and his most famous.
