Identity Festival Recommendations: Who to See ~ An EDMBoston Guide

By Deirdre:

Identity Festival: Who to See

Identity Festival is making its second tour around the country this summer and we know the anxiety that can go hand and hand with music festivals. In this case, the Comcast Center is small enough to move from one stage to the next during or in between sets. Here at EDM Boston, we’ve compiled a small list of DJ’s we think are absolutely necessary to see this Thursday.  Hope you’re all ready to rage Mansfield with us!

1) Excision

If you want loud, in-your-face-bass, do not miss out on seeing Excision. He is known for hitting his crowds hard with “1000 watts of bass”. His sound is unique, and often brings up questions on how he makes it, but none-the-less its great. He often works with dubstep producers Datsik and Downlink. Earlier this year he was on tour with Lucky Date and Liquid Stranger and the reviews from that tour are through the roof. You do not want to miss your chance to check out him out. He plays at the Rockstar Energy Drink Festival Stage at 7:15.

Steve Angello & Wolfgang Gartner honor Dark Knight victims at Global Dance Festival

(Examiner) In Colorado shooting, 12 people were confirmed dead and another 59 injured after James Holmes entered a midnight screen through the emergency exit and open fire.

The tragedy has shocked and inspired an outpouring of support from many around the nation for the Colorado community. Among those paying their respects for the lost and wishing the injured a speedy recovery is Triad Dragons Entertainment and Swedish House Mafia member and veteran house-music DJ/producer Steve Angello, who is headlining Triad's Global Dance Festival in Morrison, Colorado, a half-hour drive from Aurora, at the picturesque Red Rocks Amphitheater.

According to MTV, the festival begun July 20, and would include a moment of silence to honor the victims and their families of the tragedy event.
Steven Angello of Swedish House Mafia said "I'd like to express my deepest condolences to the families of those affected by the horrible events in Aurora, Colorado. It's unfair that so many precious lives were lost in this tragedy and during a leisure activity that so many of us participate in every day," Tonight's performance at Global Dance Festival is dedicated to the memory of those we lost in Aurora, Colorado."

Cartoon Wolfgang Gartner Strikes in Redline Music Video

Cars turning into space ships and redlining the engine I'm sure is just what inspired Wolfgang Gartner to produce "Redline".  Well even if he didn't it makes for an interesting music video.  At least it beats watching a mix mash of different audience dancing.

Mike Snow - Paddling Out (Wolfgang Gartner Remix) | EDMBoston Party Bangers

Hot new remix track from Wolfgang Gartner.  I picture this track as a great college party Banger that gets a house party jumping.

Speaking off college, does your school want EDMBoston to through a party on campus?  Set up a venue and we're down to through an underground or legit rave...police need not apply.
