Daft Punk Leaks Todd Edwards Collaborators Episode

By Justin:

Intel and Vice have teamed up to offer Daft punks fans a look behind the upcoming album Random Access Memories.  The new series called "The Collaboration Series" features an interview segment with each of the artists that worked with Daft Punk on the upcoming album release.

Check out episode 2 of the collaboration series behind Daft Punk's long awaited album, 'Random Access Memories'. This time the collaborator is a producer from New Jersey, Todd Edwards, who is known for his unique collaging of sounds. Todd has been around for  a while now, collaborating with the duo back in 2001 on their hit 'Face to Face' on the album 'Discovery'.

This episode gave me the chills hearing Todd speak about his recent experience working with Daft Punk. He spoke about how they wanted to use live instrumentation on the album, and at the end of the episode he can be quoted in saying, "it's kind of ironic, two androids are bringing soul back to music." These episodes are making it harder and harder to wait for the album to hit the airwaves, the suspense is absolutely killing me, however they do give me reassurance that what we will eventually witness, we will most certainly never forget.

Huck Stub Fub says Bassnectar: How to Avoid Unfair Ticket Scalping

By Kyle D:

Who else is sick of watching scalpers and StubHub buy hundreds of tickets to your favorite show, then go and sell them for triple the face value?  If so, you are not alone.  Artists and fans across the EDM community are speaking out against website like StubHub and scalpers.  Every fan deserves to see these great shows for face value, and not get cheated out of hundreds of dollars.  One artist in particular making moves against Stub Hub and scalpers is Bassnectar.  For quite some time, Bassnectar has been finding ways to get tickets to his fans without websites like Stub Hub. Whether it be releasing tons of last minute tickets, or requiring ID at the door, Bassnectar strives to allow his fans to view his shows for the cheapest way possible.

Read where to find tickets away from Stubhub after the jump:

Recently, for this upcoming Spring Tour, Bassnectar commended two organizations, Cash Or Trade, and Magnolia Miracle, for helping too trade and sell tickets online for face value or less.  He wrote:

“With almost every last ticket long gone for our upcoming Spring Tour, we want to commend two awesome websites for helping to support people trying to find fairly priced tickets...

Instead of getting ripped off by some suckafish scalper on StubHub, check out Cash Or Trade www.cashortrade.org and Magnolia Miracle www.magnoliamiracle.com.

Both organizations are doing great things to combat scalping by providing fair trade marketplaces where tickets are exchanged for cash at face value, or for tickets of equal value.
And if you have extra tickets to sell or swap, these are good places to give people an honest deal. You can also look for or post up face value tickets on our website or Facebook event pages.

We hope this helps bring people together, and helps you get into the shows you want to be a part of :)

See you soon

Bassnectar's ability to reach out to fans across the community and urge people to sell tickets at face value, not only helps family members across the EDM community, but also just proves why Bassnectar is sitting on top of the EDM world.  He has worked alongside other major artists such as Pretty Lights to sell cheaper tickets, and their efforts have made a huge impact on fans everywhere.  So, if any of your big favorite shows coming up are sold out, check out these web sites to find some cheaper tickets instead of supporting the scalpers on Stub Hub.  Also, help each other out.  If you have an extra ticket, sell if face value.  Let others enjoy the beauty of the EDM community without emptying their wallets.  “Don't be a Suckafish!”  See ya’ll on the floor. #HuckStubFub
