UK AND USA MATCH IN ECSTASY USE

(mixmag) - In last year's Mixmag Drug Survey, we compared the use of drugs in the UK to the USA, and found that both countries differ substantially, apart from the use of ecstasy.

Significantly larger proportions of respondents in the USA had used all forms of cannabis (including spice and other synthetic cannabinoids), hallucinogens (including LSD and magic mushrooms) and Ritalin. Only 19% of UK respondents had smoked cannabis (resin) in the last month, in comparison to 41% in the USA.

Although cannabis was more popular in the USA, significantly higher proportions in the UK reported recent use of almost every other drug investigated excluding ecstasy. Ecstasy is the only drug that respondents in the USA and the UK are taking the exact same amount of, with 41% taking ecstasy in the last month in both countries.

This year's Mixmag Drug Survey finishes tomorrow, Wednesday December 21. It is the largest survey of its kind and aims to give a clear picture of recreational drug use around the world. Ralvero – Xtreme [Released] || EDMBoston

Electro House Artist Ralvero has prodded along the EDM scene for the last year not getting a lot of attention on the internet, especially here at EDMBoston.  However, we can say that won't remain any longer.

"Impact", "in my bedroom", "samirs theme 2011" "bang like A" are just a few of the electro tracks he has produced over the last year.  Not to mention he has worked with R3hab and Bassjackers on multiple tracks. This time Ralvero hits us with the track that we think will put him on the proverbial map.  The tune name is Ralvero - "Xtrame". The track starts with a nice melodic, eric prydz, like build up that gives way to some of Ralvero's signature electro house sound.  The drop is comprised of of a deep thumping bass line with electro whirls.

We're excited to hear the track in its entirety.

Kaskade & Skrillex Vs. Dirty South & Thomas Gold - Lick It Alive (Lokchin's Edit)

Not a major production but an interesting mashup that we figured to share with everyone.  Lokchin works with Kaskade & Skrillex new tune "Lick It" as the base track.  He then layered in the vocals of Thomas Gold's "Alive" in between the breakdowns of the track.

It helps add another great dimension to the song.

Tommy Trash - Ohrwurm (Original Mix) || EDMBoston New Tunes

Tommy Trash has been on fire in the studio over the last year.  He has released the genius works of "The end", "Future Folk", and most recently he remixed Swedish House Mafia's new track "antidote".

In his latest production "Ohrwurm", Trash plays with heavy electro chords and sounds.  While this isn't our favorite work we still believe its important to keep Tommy Trash on your radar for the coming year.
