Tomorrowland Sensation Sold to SFX
it's a said day in dance music! expect ticket prices to rise at a minimum 20%
(Inthemix)Coming swiftly after the announcement that ID&T would be expanding its Tomorrowland empire to the U.S. with TomorrowWorld, the Dutch powerhouse has made a significant announcement. After much speculation, ID&T is officially becoming part of SFX Entertainment, the American company run by Robert F.X. Sillerman, who pledged to spend $1 billion on acquisitions within a year. According to an official release, the Amsterdam-based ID&T is valued at $130 million. Billboard reports that SFX has acquired 75-percent of ID&T’s entire global business at a price of approximately $97.5 million.
ID&T director Duncan Stutterheim had already struck an American joint venture with Sillerman, foreshadowing this more comprehensive move. The famed Sensation event made its entry to the New York market in October last year with backing from SFX’s competitor Live Nation. ID&T will keep Amsterdam as its ‘creative hub’, with new offices set to open in South America and Asia. As the press announcement at Miami’s Delano Hotel put it, the “creative heart of ID&T” responsible for the event and festival concepts will remain entirely in Dutch hands, remaining in Amsterdam under the name M-Design. “This next step will see us become part of a globally active company, enhancing our ability to roll out our creative concepts on a global level,” Stutterheim says. Alongside Tomorrowland, Q-dance and Sensation, three of its most globally-recognised brands, ID&T stages European institutions like Mysteryland, Welcome To The Future and ENERGY.
Sillerman has made no secret of the fact he’s a dance music outsider, but his spending spree has been honed-in on the booming EDM market. His first acquisitions, Disco Donnie Presents and Dayglow Productions, were just the beginning. The first months of 2013 saw Sillerman add Voodoo Experience and Beatport to the SFX portfolio, and now the ink has dried on the company’s biggest buyout yet.

TomorrowWorld 2013: Where in the world is Tomorrowland?
Today, the Belgian festival Tomorrowland announced TomorrowWorld 2013, the next installation of the festival, which is set to go worldwide in an unknown location September 27-29 of 2013. This is a huge move on the festival's side, as 180,000 tickets for Tomorrowland sold out within a minute last week, and there is clearly a demand for what has been hailed the "Best Music Festival in the World".
The festival organizers have launched a website, www.tomorrowworld.com, and created a guessing game among prospective worldwide fans. Here's to hoping it will be in the USA!

Tomorrowland USA To Be Reality!?!
(Demorgan.be) The Belgian dance festival Tomorrowland has a new ambition. The organizers Manu and Michael Beers want on every continent a version of their wildly popular festival setting. The brothers are currently looking for unique locations for their festival. This writes the newspaper Het Nieuwsblad.
In an interview in the weekend edition of business newspaper The time say the brothers Beers that they "weekly actual questions from around the world get to the festival to go elsewhere copying from rich Russians and Indians, to the top of the promoters and investors from Australia, the United States and South America. We're going to do it, but on our terms, and only in places where we feel at home. " Because the brothers the strings of the festival held to account, are within their company ID & T already ten new workers adopted. "It is a huge challenge." A second festival, in Belgium at its ninth edition, provides annually to 180,000 visitors. A number of tickets were only sold in Belgium. Last year was the demand for tickets from abroad so large that 2 million people were ready to their computer at the start of the presale. The festival had no more than a second to the remaining 100,000 tickets for non-nationals to sell. festival in recent years, showered with international awards. Thus Tomorrowland last week's best big festival in Europe crowned. But to sell the brothers think not."Why should we sell? It's our passion."

Tomorrowland 2013 Dates Announced
What other festival is doing things as big as Tomorrowland? No one! Yes EDC Las Vegas can make some serious noise but after the 2012 display of Tomorrowland, while the whole world was watching, you can't give this festival enough praise. Every year the festival brings more and more memorable elements and leaves you thinking, how will they top that main stage setup? and then the cycle beings again. An after movie is released, millions of people watch it, and the festival draws closer. Well now you can start your official countdown to the 2013 Tomorrowland. The Tomorrowland 2013 Dates are July 26-28 2013.

Tomorrowland Reject Guetta Faking Accusations

(Mixmag)Following on from yesterday's Mixmag.net article, which reported on David Guetta being accused of fakery at this year's Tomorrowland, the festival has released an official statement regarding what went on that night.
The people at Tomorrowland start off by talking a little bit about the Frenchman and all he has achieved over the years at the festival: "To be clear on this, David Guetta has grown together with the festival since the very beginning, and every year he has amazed the crowd with an even bigger live DJ mix and performance than the last."
