Above and Beyond Group Therapy Radio 002

Last week, trance masters Above and Beyond ended their legendary Trance Around the World podcast and replaced it with Group Therapy Radio. It was a huge success as it aired live from their show in India.

This week, A&B bring us their second podcast from ABGT 002. It features Armin Van Buuren as a special guest with his own mini mix to finish off the week's podcast.

Check it out below with a full tracklist after the jump.

Above & beyond Launch Group Therapy Radio Show

Above & Beyond have been making big waves over the last 4 days. On friday they surprised everyone on their weekly broadcast of Trance Around The World, that the upcoming 450th episode would be their last. They gave no indication of what would happen and it left people shocked.

However, this week the trio calmed its fans and announced that their radio show would go on, but be rebranded as Group Therapy Radio starting November 10. Group Therapy clearly can't be slowed down and this only proves such. Above & Beyond went on to say:

“Group Therapy describes the relationship between us, our music and our audience and the magic that happens when they interact. Our radio show is our biggest weekly interaction with our fans…. It is global Group Therapy.”
 - Above & Beyond

We can say with conviction that the concept of Group Therapy has struck a chord with us and our experience of it at Electric Zoo was second to no show we've seen this year.

The switchover to Group Therapy will be triggered when Above & Beyond take to the stage during their 450th TATW broadcast, which is coming from Jayamahal Palace in Bangalore, India on November 10. Broadcast live globally, the TATW450/ABGT001 show will be a six hour event also featuring fellow Anjunabeats artists Mat Zo, Andrew Bayer, Norin & Rad, and Jody Wisternoff.

From Friday November 16, the Group Therapy radio show will occupy Above & Beyond’s regular weekly radio slot of 7pm - 9pm BST (2pm - 4pm EST) and will keep the same format as their current TATW show, featuring two hours of the finest trance and progressive, providing a snapshot of Above & Beyond, Anjunabeats and the electronic scene at large today.

You can tune into the live broadcast of TATW450 and ABGT001 from Bangalore, India at www.aboveandbeyond.nu/radio, at the following times.

Above & Beyond Live Stream #TATW450 India

Above & Beyond have announced the complete DJ linup that will be joining them for this year's TATW450 Group Therapy India in Bangalore on  November 10 Mat ZoNorin & RadAndrew Bayer and Jody Wisternoff.

Now your probably wondering why we are blogging this because India isn't remotely close to Boston.  While my friends, given the fantastic capabilities of the internet the super trio will be LIVE STREAMING the complete show!  That means you can sit back or rage to this extraordinary lineup without leaving your home!

Above & Beyond's two-hour headlining set represents the first full Group Therapy production in India, following their memorable set at Sunburn Festival last December. Over the past 18 months, Above & Beyond have toured their Group Therapy themed show across the globe.  Having the opportunity to catch the group therapy show not only once but twice at electric zoo we can tell you that A&B is one of those special artists in the genre that can truly move you spiritually.

Now if your wondering why they choose India, let us fill you in on a little background.  Their Anjunabeats label was named after a beach in Goa.  As a result, Above & Beyond is no stranger to India.  They went on to say:

"India, its people and music have always had a special place in our hearts," said A&B's Paavo Siljamaki. "Not only does the dance music culture span thousands of years there, we've witnessed incredible growth of the electronic music there since we first started Anjunabeats. TATW450 will be broadcast from the country that was the starting point for everything we do. Let your friends know, join us online and together in India we'll all make this our biggest global celebration to date."

It appears India has also caught the dance bug as Swedish House Mafia also made India a focal point of their #onelasttour Dates
