Skrillex to feature on Kanye West's new album

(NMESkrillex has said that he will be featuring on Kanye West's new album.

The dubstep producer, who is currently working on his own debut full-length album, has said that he and the '808s & Heartbreaks' rapper collaborated earlier this year, and, from what he understands, it will be the first track on West's new album.

He told The Daily Beast:
"I did some music with Kanye and from what I know, it's actually going to be the first song on his new album."
The producer didn't specify whether the track would feature on West's forthcoming compilation 'Cruel Summer' or on his upcoming sixth studio album, but it is far more likely to be the latter as 'Cruel Summer' is meant to serve as a showcase for the artists signed to West's record label GOOD Music.

Earlier this week, Kanye West said that he has written a new track titled 'Perfect Bitch' and has revealed that it is inspired by his new girlfriend Kim Kardashian.

The rapper took to Twitter on Tuesday (August 7) to tell the world about the track, writing: "I wrote the song 'Perfect Bitch' about Kim".

The track contains a sample from German composer Carl Orff's 1937 composition 'Carmina Burana', which Nas has previously lifted for his single 'Hate Me Now'.

West debuted the track along with a clutch of others during a DJ set at New York's PH-D Rooftop Lounge on Saturday (August 4). There is no word on whether the track is slated to appear on West's new solo album, which is due later this year.

'Cruel Summer' is due for release on September 4.

By Mike of Butlertron

Trolley Snatcha has refined his heavy bass sound and joined up with Subscape for an exciting new dubstep track in "You 4 Ria". A ghostly vocal sample sets the mood for the hard bouncing beat that plays off smooth strings and piano. Trolley Snatcha New release is for free download complements of Scion A/V, the five song EP ranges from the funky garage influenced "Dry Crumpet" to the grimey "Lock & Load" featuring Foreign Beggars.

The trials and tribulations of bringing UMF to Korea

(CNNGO) What is going on with the ridiculously impressive roster of names that Korea has managed to lure to the peninsula this summer?
Jisan Valley Rock Festival, which spread over three days at the end ofJuly, drew 101,000 music lovers to catch bands like The Stones Roses, Owl City, James Blake -- and of course Radiohead.
Coming up on August 24 is Super!Sonic, with another star-studded lineup that includes the likes of the Smashing Pumpkins, New Order, Foster the People, Gym Class Heroes, Soulwax and the Vaccines.
And just last weekend, on August 3-4, at the first Asian debut of the world's largest electronic music festival, Ultra Music Festival, electronic dance music giants Steve Aoki, Skrillex, Tiesto and Carl Cox spun to crowds of 25,000 on the first day and 30,000 on the second day, leaving decidedly staggered by the Korean crowds.
As Skrillex proclaimed on his Twitter soon afterwards, "UMF KOREA was easily top 5 festivals I’ve ever played…that was intense. Crowd gave me goose bumps the whole time."
Carl Cox did more than tweet, playing more than two hours overtime, reminiscent of Radiohead's 40-minute overrun at Jisan Valley Rock Festival.

Bringing in the fun

UMF Korea It's like clubbing, minus the feeling of being in a dungeon, plus the actual presence of world-class DJs.
According to the organizers of UMF Korea, quite a lot of behind-the-stage efforts went into...
