SUMMER HEAT: Baauer - Harlem Shake

It maybe hot outside but the fire is coming from Baauer's "Harlem Shake"...not the sun.

Look At Where We Are (Major Lazer Remix) - Hot Chip

Major Lazer's newest remix dabbles in Hot Chip's "Look at where we are".  This track groove's with beats reminiscent of hip-hop yet are from the new wave trap subgenre that Diplo has fully immersed himself in.

Great summer chill track.

PS How dirty would some Bob Marley vocals be over this?

Skrillex, Disney Join Forces for New Disney Film

(mixmag) "Skrillex is taking a step back from dubstep to score soundtracks, one of which is for an upcoming Disney film.

He’ll be contributing some of the music for Wreck-It Ralph, an animated flick that follows the behind-the-scenes lives of arcade game characters.

The wob-wob master’s move to movies was announced last month, when it was revealed that he would be producing the soundtrack for Spring Breakers, a comedy starring James Franco and Selena Gomez. Skrillex’s side-project with Disney was made public recently at Comic-Con.

Fans shouldn’t hold out for cinema-shaking bass-laden movies though. After the first announcement Skrillex tweeted: “it’s more or less traditional scoring…don’t expect any dancefloor bangers.” Shame, we were up for some backseat raving.

Wreck-It Ralph is out in November this year and Spring Breakers is set to be released in early 2013."
