House Music: Levels - Avicii (Hardwell Bootleg)

You knew up and coming DJ/producer wasn't going to sit on the sidelines when it came to remixing Levels.  I like his approach here, as he doesn't mess with the chorus.  He just puts his subtle spin on the track by adding an electric knock undertone.

Deadmau5 Announces Las Vegas residency

rollingstoneElectronic music superstar Deadmau5 has signed on with XS Nightclub and Encore Beach Club for an exclusive yearlong Las Vegas residency at the clubs beginning on January 2, 2012. "I love that Vegas is really embracing electronic music as their staple entertainment," says Deadmau5, who played several shows at the Wynn Las Vegas resort venues last year. "All of the Sinatras and Rat Packs are now DJs. I've heard Vegas is going to be the next Ibiza, but it's its own thing. Here it's all about flash and show and lights." In this trailer for the residency, Deadmau5 tries out a few new career ideas before deciding to stick with his gig as a dance-music icon.

[Free Download] Adele – Someone Like You (Thomas Gold & Mark Mendes Bootleg)

Thomas Gold is en fuego in the production room.  His latest creation is a remix of Adele "someone like you".  He builds a throbbing baseline that gives way to a beautiful piano progression and Adele's vocals.  A classic progressive house music composition. Bravo! BRAVVOOO!

Electro House Music: deadmau5 Meowingtons Hax Tour visuals - Behind the Scenes

I don't know who is doing a bigger light show then DeadMau5, besides Pretty Lights.  Pretty lights is boss at lights shows, as he should be with his name.  However, you can see in this video Deadmau5' team puts a ton of work into their light productions and they look amazing.  Check out the 3d rendering software and a behind the signs look into the designs that get matched up with the electro house music.

House Music Rave Kills Dolphin :(

the sun - "A DOLPHIN died after marine park bosses allowed a deafening rave yards from its pool. Wildlife experts warned the banging techno at the two-day dance event would lead to stress among the ten dolphins. Animal activists even turned up to protest at Connyland marine park in Lipperswil, Switzerland. Shadow, an eight-year-old dolphin, appeared very distressed and disoriented after the event, and was later found dead. An activist said: "The sound levels dolphins heard were comparable to a pneumatic drill." Connyland bosses denied any wrongdoing."

RIP Shadow from all us at EDM Boston. We love dolphins as they would definitely be the most badass pets to own. sorry dogs. they got you beat hands down with the dorsal fin ride and the nose push. not to mention a dolphin could crush any of those jumping dogs on espn.

At least Shadow got to listen to amazing tunes on his way out.

ps sun magazine coming threw with the most interesting in news happenings lol

Swedish House Mafia Vs Knife Party - Antidote (Vocal Version) : Electro House

Swedish House Mafia is nearing the date of the release of their album. Wait just kidding. December 15th is the drop date and it feels like years away.  However, they have been dropping their new material in most of their gigs and radio shows.  I'm really looking forward to hearing what they produced.  They produced some pop House Music tracks (teardrops) and have also dived into Electro House with a collaboration with Knife Party.  The vocal version of Swedish House Mafia - Antidote was played last week on Annie Mac's BBC One Radio show.  Here is a cut of what was played:
