Freaks of Nature Tour Update - Kaskade Ticketmaster Presale Code

As we mentioned on tuesday, Kaskade has announced an incredible tour schedule that will take him all over the US and some of Canada.  See above for specific dates.

But really the important part is he's coming to Worcester Friday June 22. Yeay Weekend date!  The Megaproducer tickets are going for $61(including ticketmaster fees) for floor seats.  They are available for sale starting today with the citi pre-sale.  Don't have a citi card?  Well take a look over here to preview what a city card "looks Like".  Tomorow tickets go onsale to the general public.

(we neither support nor condone using these citi card samples and cannot guarantee ticketmaster cancels your order if you don't use the said citi card. however its worth a shot? :-p )

Snowmont Canceled

An event that seemingly had everything going for it, has come to a sudden halt.  A little after midnight on March 14th the producers of "Snowmont" released a very disappointing message that read as follows:

When something of this magnitude gets canceled it leaves a lot of questions unanswered, specifically with the aforementioned press release.  You have to wonder if trying to produce this festival over a 3-4 month period had significant impact on the events ability to be successful.  Tickets had only gone on sale in early February and early bird tickets were still available up to two weeks ago.  If you look at the larger festivals they are often starting to sell tickets up to 9-10 months out.  Nevertheless the producers of this festival in Killington, weren't new to the festival game.  They were the successful producers of the S.N.O.W. series on the West Coast.

We're thinking the dates weren't the best choice, especially given Snowmont's late announcement.  Think about it, Winter Music Conference/Ultra Fest is the week before this event.  Are you going to pay to travel to cold vermont or travel to sunny Miami?  Granted i think Snowmont tried to sway people with their low cost 3 day passes.  A lot of facebook commenters complained about the prices, However you'd be hard pressed to find lower priced festival passes, especially given the Lineup Snowmont was presenting.  Then there is also the uphill costs to the consumer of this festival.  With a tiny local population, most people traveling to this festival have to buy hotels, etc.  Were thinking that dissuaded a lot of young people the festival was geared toward.  EDC NYC was literally launched and sold out all within a week.  So the festivals failure isn't because demand doesn't exist, its due to many tangible and intangible forces that combined in an unideal fashion.

What really sucks about this is the fact that the Northeast seemingly carries a negative tone with Festivals.  Yes there is "The Lift" happening in New Hampshire but it is nothing like what the Snowmont lineup would have been, no hate intended.  It appears getting anything north of NYC is going to remain questionable.
