david guetta makes history with new hand print ceremony at chinese grauman’s theatres

(Electro DailyFrench DJ/ Producer sensation David Guetta is the first musician to be inaugurated in a new kind of hand print ceremony, “Handprint Homage,” designed for musicians only at the Chinese Grauman’s Theatres on Saturday, December 3rd. The ceremony was followed by a special 1.5 hour performance in the recently opened “Grauman’s Ballroom” that included the smash hit single with Usher, “Without You.”
“That’s really crazy – thank you very much for this honor, great to see this DJ culture coming to America” said David Guetta during his ceremonial speech.
Following his remarks, Guetta made history by his embedding his handprints in a turn-table like cement piece, marking him as the first musician to be inaugurated at the Chinese 6, in ranks of historic Hollywood icons.
With the release of his recent album, “Nothing but the Beat,” his fifth studio album on EMI/Capitol Records, Guetta collaborates with impressive top-tier artists that include Usher, Sia, and Nicki Minaj.
The hand print ceremony will follow with a new quarterly event in the recently opened “Grauman’s Ballroom” and adjacent event-party-special events space located inside the Chinese 6 Theatres.
It’s no surprise that Guetta is the first of many musicians to be showcased at the new “Grauman’s Ballroom” – being one of the world’s biggest DJ’s helping welcome the new entertainment space with his notable accolade.

Interesting choice as their first nomination but it makes perfect sense.  David Guetta is burning up the music industry.   You read that right...Music Industry, not the EDM industry.
I could see this turning into a big event.  What's better then watching a star dip their hands in wet cement?  It's what hollywood dreams are made of. Bravo to the Grauman Theatre for getting this going.  The more recognition Dj's get in America.  The more they will be willing to travel here and spread their love with us.  So we at EDM Boston embrace the little silly gimicks.
