With Ultra Music Festival in Miami only a month away and rumors of Tomorrowland coming to America this year, it’s time to start planning your summer music festival trips. For the EDM fans also interested in world travelling, Europe has a lot of great electronic music festivals to offer in the summer months. Spain Sonar - June 13, 14, 15
Barcelona will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Sonar this summer. A festival known for its appreciation of advanced music and art, the lineup includes big names like Major Lazer and Skrillex as well as some lesser known acts including Objekt. Germany
Melt Festival - July 19, 20, 21
In Ferropolis, Germany, the Melt festival will host a wide range of artists in a surreal setting. Ferropolis is a former coalmine, and some of the infrastructure frames the stages of this camping festival. The entire line up hasn’t been released yet, but some of the highlights from the first wave of artists include DJ Koze, Flying Lotus, and Bambounou.

Holland
Mysteryland - August 24
For those travellers looking to go to Amsterdam, Mysteryland is a must see festival. In keeping with their motto “Yesterday is history, today is a gift, tomorrow is a mystery,” the lineup has not yet been revealed. Last year’s included Avicii, Martin Solveig and Simina Mobile Disco. Austria
Urban Arts Forms – July 4-6
Urban Arts Forms is on the water near Graz, Austria. It’s the third largest music & EDM festival in Austria and is going to get even bigger with this year’s stacked lineup. Headlining the weekend long event is The Prodigy and SEEED with other acts including Dada Life and Moguai. Run the all-German website through Google translate to get all the details!

Global Gathering - July 26 and 27
This two-day festival was named the Best Dance Event by the 2012 UK Festival Awards. Typically, one event takes place in the UK, but others take place in several locations across the world for a ‘Global’ EDM experience! In the past it has hosted Feed Me, Skrillex, Afrojack, Armin Van Buuren and Nicky Romero in countries like Poland, Russia and South Korea. When the 2013 lineup is announced, it shouldn’t disappoint any EDM fans.
