Pacha U18 Festival stems from EDC NYC Rumors || EDMBoston News

The EDM Northeast community is hearing a mixed bag of rumors about different festivals to take place in the NYC area, specifically at Metlife Stadium.  Yesterday night we reported that a source said insomniac events had an EDC NYC event in the works for May 19 & 20th.  Now that is in doubts.  

Which as we said last night, seemed very suspicious.  A company like Insomniac events doesn't just throw a festival over night.  They carefully craft their productions and start with announcements months out.  Failing to take the necessary time would prevent an EDC NYC event from bringing top talent to the arena.  Most artists at this late point in winter have already crafted a large part of their summer touring schedule.  You know most artists have reserved that schedule for a lot of ibiza appearances and things like tomorrowlands, edc-vegas, nocturnal, creamfields, Electric Zoo, etc.  That only leaves so much time left for them to play other festivals such as EDC NYC type of event and gigs around the world.

This morning, the rumor story quickly changed, accompanied with Flyers swirling around the internet of Pacha announcing a U18 Festival at Metlife Stadium.  The Pacha U18 Festival is rumored to be for those that are 18 and under only.  Not sure how they will pull that age discrimination off but we shall see.

Again this is all speculation but we wanted to keep the EDMBoston community on notice with whats going on out there with Pacha U18 Festival and EDC NYC rumors

There is still no official word on what madness will be taking place this summer in New York City.  But for one thing, EDMBoston will bring you the breaking news as soon as we hear it!
