(facebook) On Saturday, March 17th, RED BULL MUSIC ACADEMY – Presents BOSTON BASS SESSIONS as part of the Red Bull Music Academy Workshops to promote and launch the Academy’s call for applications for the 2012 International workshops in New York next Autumn.
Red Bull Music Academy will be hosting a workshop on "Production tips of starting a track, arranging, eq'ing and mixdown".
You will hear tips and tricks from MATT SIMMERS; Songwriter, sound engineer and mixing and mastering engineer for Terravita, Hot Pink Delorean and Tremourz.
Matt Simmers has done content development at Izotope and wrote factory presets for Alloy, Ozone4, Ozone5 and BT's Stutter Edit. Also done mastering and/or mixdowns on labels such as Play Me, Dim Mak, Trouble & Bass, Stretch Armstrong's label Plant music, 12th Planet's label SMOG and Faust and Shortee's Label Heavy Artillery.
He is filled with knowledge and loves sharing his passion with other like-minded producers.
We will also welcome Special Guest and Red Bull Music Academy Alumni: STAR EYES (Trouble & Bass, NYC). "The Queen of Brooklyn Bass" will be discussing her musical talents, music taste of "haunted house" and her experience at the RBMA back in 2003 and how it's effected her current production, dj'ing and outlook on music.
Later that evening, we will enjoy the sounds of STAR EYES of Trouble & Bass (NYC) for her performance at CULT at MACHINE NIGHTCLUB from 10pm-2am. Reduced admission for those attend the BASS SESSION.
