Culprate's new Nightmares in Reality EP leads off with "Hall of Mirrors", a delightfully heavy dubstep jaunt. Vocals drenched in effects give a trippy feel to the comfortable arps and pads of the intro. The lyrics set the mood but never return, leaving the broken beat and bass to shine. I can't get enough of that twisted, syncopated 808 bass.
Don't miss the intriquing sample work on the other highlight of the EP, a moody, heavenly, garagey track titled "Two".
