David Guetta, the French-export electro pop DJ, continues down his path of overtaking the mainstream American EDM scene by winning Favorite Electronic Artist at the American Music Awards last night.
The AMAs only introduced a category for Electronic Dance Music this year, and Guetta was the first artist to sweep one up.
While these awards mean little to nothing more than what tween girls are ripping from YouTube, it is still significant that Electronic has for the first time now gotten its own category in these awards.
