Years by Alesso Music Video

Last night, the video for "Years" by Alesso & Matthew Koma dropped. After having a successful summer run, this video is one of the more intriguing ones out there. Rather than being cheesy or random, it tells a story of what could be Alesso's own rise to fame with discovery by Ingrosso over his life. While not necessarily focusing on the music or even having the highest budget production, its flashes between music production and activity in a club bring you into the life of a struggling musician.

Crystal Castles, the electronic duo comprised of singer Alice Glass and producer Ethan Kath, are no strangers to a crowd going wild when they take the stage. The Toronto-based experimental-glitch-electro band have had a cult following since 2008, when their first self named album was released. Since then, they’ve been known for their alternative sound comprised of Gameboy noises, pulsating drum beats, and self-produced songs that provide listeners an insight into a nuanced form of modern EDM.

On October 6, 2012, the crowd at the House of Blues Boston was nothing short of wild as Crystal Castles took the stage. As they began their first song at their Boston Show, Glass kneeled on the stage in front of an iconic image of a veiled woman and a child, channeling the energy she would need to perform that night. Opening with their newest song “Plague”, she quickly dismissed the mic stand as needless and continued the set, as an untethered energy whirled around the stage into “Wrath of God”.

Flosstradamus Technical Problems in Boston

While a lot of people were chattering about Zedd and Porter Robinson last week, Flosstradamus was throwing down at the Paradise Rock Club the same night.  Nevertheless it appears the duo of Flosstradamus had some technical problems that night.

In the video below you can see the DJ table almost flip over mid set, sending all the DJ equipment to the crowd.  It's unclear if it was the artists bumping into the table or the wild bass drop.  What we can tell you is it looks crazy funny in this video
