Whats cool about 'Nothing But The Beat' is it offers an inside look into David Guetta's life during one of the most transformational times in pop music. It's rare that those types of moments are caught on film never mind a documentary.
What we liked most about the film is how David talks about the history of his career and his passion for the music. What he hated was akon and will i can't.
Whether you like the David Guetta's music or not, you have to respect the hell out of what he's achieved in his career. Not to mention the crazy partys he throws. He is able to bring together all kinds of people and make them dance. which at the end of the day is what its all about. Playing Gay clubs to building a brand to building an empire. David does what he wants and he makes it successful.

Van Dyk joins Deadmau5 -- who had a much-publicized Twitter spat with the singer -- in condemning comments she made while introducing Ultra headliner AVICII on Saturday (March 24) to an all-ages crowd of over 50,000. The pop diva praised EDM culture, saying "Electronic music has been a part of my life since the beginning of my career," then posed a question heard 'round the world: "How many people in this crowd have seen Molly?"
Molly is a street name for ecstasy and its derivatives.
"Madonna was so stupid to actually call out drug abuse in front of a crowd of 18-year-olds," said van Dyk. "This is not what our music is about. It's really counterproductive."
Following the comment -- and a Deadmau5-led backlash -- Madonna posted an explanation on Twitter **. "I don't support drug use and I never have," she said. "I was referring to the song called 'Have You Seen Molly' written by my friend Cedric Gervais who I almost worked with on my last album."
AVICII PUT MADONNA REMIX TOGETHER IN 3 DAYS
Prepping for the April 3 release of "Evolution" (Vandit), his first album in five years, Van Dyk has made no bones in the press lately about his opinion on America's current "EDM explosion."
"I think we have a problem with calling it a new movement or a breakthrough in America," he says. "We had massive festivals in the mid-'90s; I remember playing big shows, like Electric Daisy in L.A. in 2008, which drew something like 65,000 people. This was before the pop artists started to sound danceable, so in a way it's not really something that needed a breakthrough. I think what people are referring to these days is a popped-down version of what our music actually is. I hope those pop stars all go back where they came from and do their normal pop music again."
Joel Zimmerman aka Deadmau5 really laid it all out on Ultra Music Festival and Miami Music Week this year. Whether he was sounding off about Ultra's BS policies, not wanting to play at Ultra, or Burning Madonna for the poser she is, Deadmau5 seemed to have his hands in every aspect of the game. One of the cool things he did at Miami Music week is put on a workshop called Mau5hax. He invited musicians and producers in to work on producing tracks for a day. He ended up collaborationg with a bunch of poeple that day and they came up with two songs. Among the big artist that stopped by to help were Feed Me, Moguai, Kill The Noise and a last minute vocal performance from Foreign Beggars – who’s lyrical inspiration came from a facebook and twitter post. The competition had 5 winners. Steve Duda managed one room, Beatport’s Albert Gonzalez and mau5trap’s new signing The Frederick the other, and deadmau5 bounced between the two hot seats all day and night. The result…? Two tracks: ‘Fractals’ and ‘Titty Sprinkles’ which can both be downloaded in full resolution, for free, from beatport now.

When he says working, that typically means its already done and sitting on his hardrive waiting to be mastered. Shakira, while a popstar, has always been an international star and made moves to the US later in her career. "I've been in the studio now a couple times with Shakira," he told Billboard's Kerri Mason over the weekend at Ultra Music Festival in Miami. "She's really nice and that's why we started working together. She has a unique voice and really loves the new dance thing. Like when a beat drops, she makes this like… face. She's feeling it."
Afrojack wouldn't divulge the exact nature of the recording sessions or whether they'll produce songs for her next album. "I never want to put a name tag on something. I wanna just see what happens, but probably. We'll see," he said.
In December, the "Hips Don't Lie" star told Billboard that she was eager to get back in the studio. "I'm working with different producers and DJs, and I try to feed off from that and find new sources of inspiration and new musical motivation," she said. "I'm anxious to return to the studio. My body is asking for it."
The "Take Over Control" DJ (born Nick van de Wall) will also keep busy this year, including his first official tour of America and a spot at the Electric Day NYC festival in May.
He played a massive set at Ultra on Saturday, inviting a few of his most high-profile friends to share the booth with him during his headlining gig at South Beach Superclub Mansion. By 2 a.m., David Guetta, Steve Aoki and Laidback Luke were taking turns dropping their hits for a packed crowd of models, other artists and industry folk, as well as Afrojack's girlfriend Paris Hilton.

The Avicii "Last Dance" track, previously known as “Somacho”, premiered last friday on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection show. The track happens to be an old song from avicii's catalog but it ismuch different from the track he used to play out in late 2010, early 2011. (mtv.com)MIAMI — On Friday, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello — the trio also known as Swedish House Mafia — gave fans at Miami Music Week an event to remember. Their two-hour-plus spectacle at Grand Central Park featured stadium-style house music with a backdrop of pyrotechnics and fireworks.
Add to that the dazzling graphics bouncing off five enormous LED screens, and it was clear that SHM had accomplished an impressive high mark that won't be easy match on Saturday night (March 24), when the event kicks off its second day. MTV News caught up with the Swedes just before their set and they talked to us about the long road to their massively successful Masquerade Motel mini-festival.
"We've done it again," Angello raved. "For [us], to go out there and enjoy our own party, which is something like this [in scale], it's amazing to be here." Last year's tented, single-day Masquerade party on South Beach "was amazing," Angello added, "And the year before that was amazing; we've come a very long way."
Lined with palm trees, tall office buildings and residential apartments, Grand Central Park had the vibe of being isolated from the rest of Miami, and that made a party filled with 10,000 SHM fans feel intimate. But before the trio even took the stage, a spectacular lineup of opening acts did more than warm up the crowd. Asked about the all-stars preceding them, Seb, Ax and Steve beamed with pride.
"We have NO_ID," Axwell said of the Dutch duo newly signed to his Axtone Records imprint. "We just think that they have a really interesting sound, which is kind of like chunky-groovy-sexy house, so it complements what we are doing very well. Otto Knows is also here."
"[Otto is] a young kid from Sweden, one of my really close friends," Ingrosso chimed in. "He's like my little brother. We are starting to make music and he just released his first single ever."
"Thomas Gold is here," Axwell added. "Alesso, a guy called Calvin Harris."
"Yeah, I don't know if you know him," Ingrosso chuckled with a knowing nod to Harris' accolades on the EDM scene and, most recently, for his work with Rihanna.
"Yeah, he's another guy we found," Angello joked.
"No, Rihanna found him!" Axwell laughed. "He's always been very interesting and doing creative stuff."
By the time the Swedes took their positions behind the decks, it was clear 10,000 screaming fans were ready to take the party to the next level. Just as they've done on their last two Stateside Masquerades, they launched into the organ-laden edit of Ax & Sebastian's "Together"; they followed that with their latest hit single, "Greyhound," marking the song's drop with a fireworks display.
What followed was a clever series of mixes of some of the most popular anthems of the past six months. Among them were Axwell's edit of Michael Calfan's "Resurrection" mixed into Fedde Le Grand's remix of "Paradise," and "Antidote," which was given a pyro burst. The crowd went mental when Dirty South and Usual Suspects' "Walking Alone" was blended perfectly with SHM's "Miami 2 Ibiza."
"That's right, Miami, it is straight appreciation for 'Miami 2 Ibiza,' " Ax told the crowd. "We realize there are a lot of parties this week and we definitely feel honored that you've come to us this week!"
SHM also treated fans to set staples, including "Troll"; Nari & Milani's "Atom"; Ingrosso, Alesso and Ryan Tedder's "Calling (Lose My Mind)"; Deniz Koyu's remix of "Dangerous"; and SHM's remix of Coldplay's "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall."
"Are you making new friends?" Axwell asked the partygoers. "Maybe some from the opposite gender? Maybe falling in love? For sure, we are falling in love. The Swedish House Mafia loves you guys. Thank you for coming down!"
But one of the most unexpected gems of the night came at the very end, when fans got to hear a cook-up Axwell told MTV News in our pre-set chat that he couldn't wait to play: The SHM/Laidback Luke collabo "Leave the World Behind" (featuring Deborah Cox) was merged with Knife Party's remix of Porter Robinson's "Unison." That mashup was received with a roar from the crowd as the high-energy dance party became another one for the books.
NO_ID, Third Party and AN21 join Alesso and Calvin Harris as openers for Swedish House Mafia on the second (and final) day of the Masquerade Motel on Saturday (March 24).
John Dahlback has taken a break from producing big room progressive house hits and focused on the funkier side of house with his new track "Start Loving You". In a track that opens with a sound reminiscent of "PYT" by Michael Jackson, John Dahlback gets busy with an infectious disco bass line and male vocals.
