What happens when a music genre and its icons become household names? Corporate america hops on the bandwagon , sponsors artists, and makes merchandise to sell.
Last week when Tiesto came to Boston, he was sporting a new set of cans aka headphones. Tiesto's headphones featured his spotted bird logo in the center of the earpiece, which was complimented by a black backing outlined in silver. As pictured below, Tiesto's headphones aren't only going to be made for the worlds biggest DJ. Tiesto has partnered with high end audio maker AKG, to release a tiesto line of headphoens in June. The tiesto headphone line up will feature up to three different models. This looks to be AKG's and Tiesto's answer to the popular beats brand, which will be releasing a David Guetta line dubbed "Mixr"
Now that EDM's biggest icon, Tiesto, has a radio show, clothing line, an iOS app, and a record label, it only seems fitting that the world’s biggest DJ gets his own headphone line too. What else is the Tiesto Brand missing? Speakers have to be on their way right?
