As tradition has it, the
Top 100 DJ poll, put on by
DJ Mag, has stirred up a lot of heat this year. From DJs being caught cheating to the nay sayers deeming it useless, the cloud of controversy hasn't been short.
As such, you knew the closing of the polls wouldn't be remiss of any controversy happening.
In the last hours of voting, DJ Mag ran into problems with their website due to a surge in traffic and it
crashed. As a result, they will be extending voting until Thursday at 8pm EST.
You can see their official statement below:
"Allocated voting time extended as we fix problems
Due to unprecedented last-minute voting activity, we are currently experiencing some hitches with ourTop 100 DJs voting system.
In order to rectify these problems and allow enough time to collect votes, we have extended the time allocated for voting until midnight Thursday night (GMT+1).
We apologise for any inconvenience caused. For further updates, please keep an eye on our
Facebook feed.
Finally, please remember to confirm votes already cast. If you have still not received your confirmation email please check your SPAM folders in your inbox. Don't forget!"
