He's built a shroud of cats, comedy, star wars, and obscure Billy Madison spoof movie scenes. Setting the distractions aside, there's also the promising music produced by this young prodigal producer. His unique sound and curation of a young sub-genre, moombahton, which he help direct at its beginning stages, caught the attention of Mad Decent label Boss, Diplo.
The young man we are talking about is none other than the vivacious Dillon Francis. Sir Dillon Francis, as he is often called, is currently touring the United States on his craftily named, Wurld Turr. (Erhmahgaddd)
Boston played host to the praised and strongly demanded artist on March 27 in the areas largest venue, the House of Blues Boston. Dillon Francis Suit and Tie Remix and star power had no troubles selling out the venues general admission floor and spattering bodies about the mid and upper decks.
The profile of the crowd wasn't much different from Dillon himself. It sported a concentrated group of eight-tweens and didn't hover much higher. Students fresh out of classes were at the House of Blues to sport their newest neon and plurific outfits. On scale of one to ten, the energy in the building hovered at six and peaked at seven and a half when Dillon mc'd.
That night Dillon's enamored fans would go on to learn 5 things about Dillon Francis Wurld Turr Boston Taught Us:
read after the break
1. Dillon's catalog of music can Shock the crowd to life
Tools such as Masta Blasta and Bootleg Fireworks can be pulled out at any moment and fully assault the crowd into all out rage mode. Due to such wild success Dillon can go a little over board with the hits and rolled them out in segmented clips more then once during the show. That being said, the track segments still netted francis the same success.
2. Dillons cat obsession isn't limited to the internet
A major feature on dillon francis wurld turr stage is 2 ginormous inflated evil cats with glowing red eyes. As if the colossal white cats weren't enough, they grace a sign that reads "fuck".
3. He brings class to camoflouge
In Late 2012 sir francis dropped his clean cut slicked back hair and collared shirts in favor of camouflage. While he hasn't graced the cover of GQ, for his new double threat blonde hair and camo shirt, he certainly has turned heads both in and outside of raves. Boston was certainly no different. Francis' camp gave out billboard signs of Franicis cut out head, rocking blond hair, which we witnessed bounce around through the night.
4. The show isnt over until the lights come on
In typical Dillon fashion he wished everyone a good night, thanked them for coming out to see him, and proceeded off the stage like any other artist would. As a result, people made way for the exits. However, the comedic Francis charged back on stage, 30 seconds later to play 5 more tracks. Buyer beware, don't leave the House of Blues until the house lights have come on.
5. Dillon Francis is the Undeclared President of Sub 19 Year Old Crowd
Young people love dillon! Theres not much more to say and his constituents were out in force to support him. So much so that we'd like to declare him the President of the Youth PLUR babies.
