Archie & Fareoh - Feathers (Original Mix)

It's been almost a year since Archie and Kaskade's novice talent Fareoh collaborated to bring us into the new year with "2012". It's been a busy year for both up and comers. Archie recently made a top 20 Beatport release with "Here and Now", has been the target of a 3LAU mashup or two, created the Pony Up podcast series, all while rewarding his fans with tons of free music. Fareoh picked up steam while touring alongside Kaskade and Alvin Risk on the "Freaks of Nature" tour this past summer.

This second collaboration is nothing short of incredible. While touching on some of the piano sound that played an integral part in this past summer's festival sound, Archie and Fareoh explore sounds that could lead to a new style for the fall/winter months. The new track "Feathers" is not light in substance or style. Not one bit.

Hi Paul, how you doin’?
Hey, I’m fine, thanks.

Have you touched down in Boston yet?
Yes, we arrived about 30, 40 minutes ago. We played in Atlanta and we just came in from London where we did the Identity Festival to start the tour, and Creamfields, because of the weather, of course, was cancelled.

I got to see a couple of your upcoming dates, and it looks pretty hectic, but can you talk about your summer thus far and your touring schedule recently?
Well, the thing is, obviously, you know, especially in the summer, the Ibiza season and the festival season comes all together with a long and crazy touring schedule, so, therefore, it’s a bit hectic but it’s all fun.

So if the summer is focused mostly on touring, how do you find any time to record music?
Well, the good thing is that I -- you know, I don’t know if you’re familiar with the set-up that I use when I’m playing -- but I have pretty much like a mini-studio on stage with computers and uh, a couple of mixes, keyboards, all sorts of stuff, and so when this is not on stage it’s obviously in my hotel room or wherever I am, so I can always make music, which is good, and then of course, as soon as I’m back, you know, I start producing it properly in the studio.

WHY ELECTRIC SUN FESTIVAL WAS A DISASTER - BEWARE OF SHADY PROMOTERS

(WhiteRaverRafting) This past weekend, while many were partying at Electric Zoo and North Coast Music Festival, there was a festival disaster taking place in Jacksonville, Florida. Electric Sun Festival, which touted a lineup including Tiesto, 12th Planet, Robbie Rivera, Downlink and more crashed, burned, and cancelled it’s Day 2 events without refunding or notifying ticket holders of the cancellation. Matt Richardson of Redline Entertainment Group left nothing but a sign in the parking lot with his number, which many said wasn’t answered.
