ShowTek to Hit Prime Boston on March 17

By Mike M:

Joining some of the biggest names in the electronic dance scene who have played at Prime Nightclub (Nervo, Kill the Noise, and Eric Prydz to name a few) in the last few months, the Dutch sibling duo ShowTek will be hitting the decks at Prime on Sunday, March 17th, 2013.

Brothers Weuter and Sjoerd Janssen, the masterminds behind ShowTek, are by no means new to the scene, but their recent surge in chart topping success with their collaboration with Tiesto "Hell Yeah" and tracks like their song with Justin Prime- "Cannonball"- has them looking fresh and ready to go. The duo has long been a mainstay in clubs and venues across Europe, but their wildly popular new podcast has them gaining momentum in the United States as well.

Signed to Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Records, ShowTek are set to release a set of powerful tracks, 'Crunk' and 'Slow Down' on March 5th, although teasers of the two songs have already been released on the duo's SoundCloud (see below). As the two titles would lead you to believe, the songs are very unique to each other. While 'Crunk' leads the way with as a bouncy house anthem that you can't help but dance to, 'Slow Down' takes a different route with a dynamic trance-like melody. The differences in these two tracks serves as a reminder of ShowTek's ability to jump seamlessly between genres, while still maintaining an incredibly unique and powerful sound.

Whether this is the first time you've heard the name ShowTek, or you've been following the brothers Janssen for years, this is a must see in the ever-increasing lineup of superstars that will be hitting Boston in the coming months, and you're going to want to  be there when they bring down the roof at Prime!

Grab your tickets before they run out!
