Adding yet another big name act to its already electronic-heavy spring lineup, Royale Nightclub in Boston played host last Thursday to Cazzette, the up-and-coming Swedish house duo. Another prodigy of promoter Ash Pournouri, known for discovering and developing Avicii into the superstar he has become, Cazzette has been making appearances at festivals and venues across the country for over a year now.

Known for their high-energy sets that remix many of the biggest hits in dance music, Cazzette got the show going on a high note, appearing on stage with their trademark giant cassette helmets to a roaring ovation from the crowd. They got crowd going early on, starting with a remix of the now-defunct Swedish House Mafia's "Don't You Worry Child", an ode to the group's final set at last weekend's Ultra Music Festival. The duo kept the momentum going, cycling quickly through hit after hit, from dance hits such as Sander Van Doorn's "Kangaroo" to Top 40 tracks including the Bruno Mars single, "Locked Out of Heaven".
Although the first half of the show was a fairly predictable juke-box of sorts, the second half brought a rather unexpected transition, with the duo rolling out a sort of trap-infused house mix, which really got the crowd going. Going off the positive reaction from the crowd, Cazzette kept the trap vibe going for the remainder of the show, ending with a remix of Baauer's viral sensation, "Harlem Shake". Although the Harlem Shake trend may seem rather played out, Cazzette added their own element to it, breaking it down into more of jumpy electro beat rather than the original trap track.
